The story of Fazzini's Italian Deli isn't just about opening a new shop in Port Charlotte this fall. It is the culmination of a lifelong culinary journey rooted in family tradition, grit, and an unwavering love for incredible food.

Long before Fazzini's found its home in Florida, the foundation was laid generations ago. Inspired by heritage, family recipes, and the timeless warmth of gathering around the dinner table, our passion for authentic Italian cooking has been passed down through the years, honoring cherished figures like Nana Fazzini and our great-grandparents, whose timeless spirit still guides everything we do today.

Decades of Culinary Dedication

Our founders, Eric and Bethany, bring a lifetime of professional experience and dedication to the table:

• The Early Years (1980–1989): Eric earned his Culinary Degree from the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI (located right down the street from Brown University), blending formal artistic technique with classic flavors. Meanwhile, Bethany was also building her own hands-on experience in the restaurant industry with Bethany's Restaurant which she owned and operated for a decade in Woonsocket, RI.

• Building a Restaurant Family (1990s–2000s): Driven by a shared dream, Eric and Bethany opened My Little Diner, followed by Bethany’s 2 in Warwick, RI, which they successfully ran for five years. In 1996, they expanded into full-service dining with Chattery’s in Woonsocket, RI.

• Resilience & Expansion (2015–2021): After dedicating time to community support and working with developmentally disabled individuals, Eric and Bethany opened Champs II in 2015, followed by Fazzini’s Restaurant. Even through the challenges of the pandemic, their passion never wavered.

Bringing Tradition to Port Charlotte

After moving to Florida and spending time as a Director of Dining for Brookdale Assisted Living, Eric realized his heart belonged to running his own family business. After previously acquiring and operating Champs III in Arcadia, they knew it was time to bring their true vision to life.

Today, Fazzini's Italian Deli brings decades of restaurant heritage to Port Charlotte. We are proud to offer an authentic old-world market experience where you can pick up hand-crafted subs, fresh gourmet pastas, slow-simmered sauces, legendary lasagna, chicken and eggplant parm, fresh cannolis, traditional pastries and our famous saucy balls.
